sha la la She thinks. She speaks. Everything else.
♫ A cooling ocean breeze swept through the area producing relief from humid tainted heat. It was certainly summer and the temperatures never ceased to be a reminder of that. The wind wasn't the only option of cooling one self though. A vast amount of ocean water meeting the land's edges offered cooling properties as well. One bay painted kelpie took the option of the ocean and trudged through it's water with ease. This mare remained at the edge of the giant body of water wishing to stay above to view the land. Only did she nearly become submerged under the blue hues during one of it's powerful waves. They came at a consistent rate and would even lift the kelpie venturing through them. Water wasn't a problem though, not in the least. In fact, she enjoyed the pull of the waves when they came.
♫ Megpoid Gumi was this bay mare's full name however she commonly merges the two words to Megumi. With a stocky Quarter Horse build she defiantly had the strength to maneuver through the ocean. The divide between land and ocean was her favorite place to be. Gumi could spend hours walking the shoreline as there was much ground to cover during her casual walks. This one was no different than the others and the weather seemed to have a constant rhythm now. Right up in the sky was that blazing ball of fire where it always was at this time of day, only covered up by a few clouds passing by every now and then. The heat had risen in temperature and Megpoid didn't hesitate to dive into the waters as she had done a short time ago. Then a question popped into her mind, was anyone else around here?
♫ There were certainly others of her kind around here somewhere. They too were probably seeking protection from the sun's rays beating upon the earth's surface. Having grown tired of her walk through the water, Gumi halted all movement and simply stood there. Only did she need to put effort into her stance when another wave crashed into her. Despite those, she still focused on her surroundings now. No other equines were in sight, yet. There was always the possibilities of other kelpie underneath the water too. It really wasn't a bad idea to go completely under considering this heat. Simple thoughts as these tumbled around the mare's mind. Ears then did their job searching for anything that might overcome the subtle ocean sounds, they were such soothing ones at that.

The water’s cool seeped under his skin, saturating his smooth coat finally. The heat of summer was trying its hardest to dry out his land, his home, his body. He could feel the heat of it even under the water, though if he went further out he could find pockets of cool that could send shivers through one if one lingered there too long. He knew these waters with his eyes closed after an immeasurable amount of time ruling them. His long tangled tail swished through the water in agitation once before stilling as he regained his control. He was growing tired of this endless existence but it was never going to end. Invulnerable. Invincible. Immortal. He was all of them. He was… effectively trapped. Allowing himself to sink to the bottom, his cobalt blue eyes watched emotionless, body swaying with the gentle tug and pull of the ocean. His long tangled locks, decorated with seaweed he seemed unable to avoid, floated around his body, a dark halo to highlight his silvery blue coat. It shined bright even in the depths of the ocean, a soft iridescence that drew fish to him at times. He was imposing and regal and everything a leader should be but in his heart he was so tired… If he could just disappear from the world, turn into sea foam and drift mindlessly along the waters with no clue of the centuries he’d spent in this state.
He sighed, bubbles drifting up from his nostrils in the ocean. His eerie gaze followed their trail upward, almost as blank and cold as a fish. Then his interest was piqued though he buried all traces of it easily. Above him, drifting in the waves was a bay female. How long had she been there while he sat on the bottom and wished the hours away? Did it even matter? Not really. He gave his head a shake and pushed off the bottom, disturbing a small cloud of sand that settled quickly as his powerful legs propelled him through the water. His sleek body quickly neared the surface, rising into the sun warmed water. The old one studied her, her muscular stocky body so different from his leggy angular one. Pretty in a perfectly normal ordinary way. A fine specimen of his kind, built to handle the roughness of the waters. He approved of her deep in his core though it didn’t show.
Slowly he allowed the currents to push him away from her, rising ever so slightly with each push. Like a creature rising from the deep, his head slowly appeared above the water, just the top of it like the hippopotamus. His long black seaweed filled mane floated along the surface around his head. Blue eyes tracked over the water searching for the bay mare before spotting her. Lifting his head completely, he gave a quick huff at the heat of the sun. His dark coat drew the heat more than others, an unfortunate side effect of the lovely blue roan hue. Leisurely, he pushed himself closer, finding himself now yards away in the water. As the old one looked at her, a name came to him. Megpoid Gumi. Such an unusual name was hard to forget even with all the names crammed into his memories. Not long ago, he’d been an unnoticed visitor to her birth as he often was. He liked to see his kind come to life and knew ways to go unseen on such occasions. ”Hello Megpoid Gumi.” His voice was gentle, low, and slightly rough, but it was a pleasing sound to most. However, there was little inflection, just a cool blank blue gaze and even tones. I am still settling into his personality but here you are! Hope you like![/size]

sha la la She thinks. She speaks. Everything else.
♫ Even with the halt of her movement, Megumi still had to resist the flow of the ocean waters. The currents certainly had power in some spots but were only small, subtle ones where the bay kelpie was standing. Still, their pull forced the mare to stand her ground and work with the unstable footing she had. The blue hues surrounded her darker coat that seemed even darker than normal due to the water's effects. Her black banners were idle and simply going with the flow of the water as much as they could. Meg kept her head at the normal level matching the height of her withers allowing herself to be completely submerged by the waves rolling along. As each one passed a cool rush engulfed her, a relieving feeling from the heat occupying the area right above sea level.
♫ These moments of silence passed by peacefully. Sure, it was nice to have a little quiet time but that grew boring as it drew on. Just as the water patterns had their changes, Megumi appreciated the same in her life. Why? Well, what else was there to keep one's mind busy with more than the daily routine. At first it was the disturbance of the water's echoing sounds that caught her attention. Facing the golden beach she expected the chances of seeing someone else were in that direction. Turning hear head around to view the ocean behind her she realized the mistake in her little calculations. Another of her kind apparently decided to rise above the waters and reveal himself. After turning her body a complete one hundred and eighty degrees she took a better look at the kelpie. It was a blue roan but not just any kelpie you'd see swimming around. It was Aecor, one great elder she hadn't interacted with much at all but respected none-the-less. If she recalled correctly he was one that possessed immortality, a gift that Gumi was unsure to consider great or not. The thought of living forever made Megpoid cringe, never would she wish for such a fate. Certainly not with her sort of luck in life.
♫ Having noticed his presence so late she didn't need to make any movements towards him. The gap of distance had already been closed by the stallion well enough for words to be tossed around. Before she even decided on spoken words his gently lyrics holding a greeting were heard. The fact her name was remembered to a completely correct extent was a little surprising. It was one hard to forget yet easy to mispronounce. "Aecor, why hello," she started in her usual calm tone of voice. "Pleasure to see you again. How might you be today?" The bay kelp had to jog her memory slightly to remember this stallion that had been only subtly seen throughout her life. It was those known by day one she wanted to become closer to though. Having lost the two closest to her years ago she had few left she shared any memories with. The mare's blank face slowly evolved into a pleasant one, trying to be friendly as usual. It still was only a mixture of true and masked friendliness though. Megumi took time to really befriend one and show her true loyalty and friendship qualities. With silence overcoming the mare, she decided not to say more until a reply was heard.

His ears flickered, the heat already bothering his blue black ears. In the heat of summer, Aecor spent a lot of time in the cool depths, surrounded by the salty waters. It was probably why his long black locks remained tangled and twined through with seaweed. He spent long hours sitting in groves of kelp, hidden from the world and lost in his thoughts. On and on his thoughts would go, tracing the years and the memories of his unimaginably long life. There were patches he did not remember, blank slates of times blurred by the passing of the years. He did not remember being a foal, if he ever was. He just remembers being told of his destiny, to guard and protect the lands and his race. His youth was possibly the most colorful time of his life, ruled by passion and fervor and a need to know everything. He could not remember most of that time, lost as so many other memories, but the emotions of that time remain vivid as ever. It was a hard time to think about. He could not quite forget the elegant profile of one mare. There was so much love and loss tied to that face.
It was the centuries following her that faded into nothingness. As his ferocity faded, so did the memories. It was the quiet years he could not remember easily, all the faces blending into one. Bay, black, palomino, painted, chestnut, and every other color with almost every imaginable combination of traits. There were no events to stand out in his mind from those times and so, he lost patches of memory. Aecor, more out of boredom than true desire, would sit for hours and try to fill the missing spots. Sometimes he accomplished it and sometimes he did not. Many times the hours would pass by and he would not even realize. His blue eyes would watch the fish swim by without comprehending, his body unmoving for days save for the push and pull of the tides. He would arise from such a state to find himself nearly rooted to the spot by his long mane and tail alone, twined thoroughly around the kelp plants. Even with his control of the water, he could never completely untangle the leafy green plants from his locks. It was a job better done with another horse.
Aecor did not like being that close to others anymore. He kept his distance, both physically and emotionally. His loneliness got to him sometimes though and he inserted himself into the world. To be honest, he was more of a king from a great distance, only really stepping in when his people were in danger, needed true leadership, or disciplined. Giving his great head a shake to cover his seal skin with moisture again, he was slightly surprised the mare knew he was. Stories of him were told to his people but he met so few of them in person. He did not think his looks, excepting his brilliant blue eyes, were so striking to make him stand out in a crowd, but perhaps he was wrong. He dipped his head in greeting, giving a huff to blow a stray tendril out of his view. ”You have seen me before?” The blue roan had not interacted with her in person before but he’d seen her at a distance a few times over the recent years. It stirred his curiosity deep down but his mask remained intact. ”I am… well.” The words fell flatly from his lips, for in his heart, Aecor felt the pain and ache of loneliness. As such, he did not feel well. That was not something he was willing to share anymore than he was willing for this female to touch him.
OOC: SO SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG! Life got a little crazy there and then Aecor wouldn't cooperate. XD Please forgive me!

sha la la She thinks. She speaks. Everything else.
♫ Whenever silence took over, thoughts regained Megumi's attention. She tried to recall everything she could about this stallion whom she knew so little of. In fact, there was not one time where she remembered talking to him. Gumi merely saw him around the kelpie lands for all she could remember, it was probably one of her parents that actually talked to the blue roan. There came a time for everything and apparently it was time for the bay kelpie to actually meet this equine. It could prove to be interesting in the long run and hopefully take away other certain thoughts that still haunted her. Memories were such queer things and as much as Megpoid wished she didn't remember things she sure had a good memory. While some might think of it as an asset, but the bay mare thought exactly the opposite. With a past stained with loss she had trouble getting over it all and when her mind was finally beginning to settle everything was just stirred up even more.
♫ It was the previous year when she saw her brother again, the one she deemed to be the crux of her pain. That encounter sure didn't go as anticipated and surprisingly the both continued life alive. The brute who was barely a brother at all really made Megpoid think about things, to the point of finding peace with everything. Still, she would question that peace every now and then. Sometimes she would fall back to her old thoughts but then regain the positive optimism again. However she would put it though, it was still a struggle she had with herself. There was no time to get worked up about that again though, not when something in reality called for her attention. Giving her head a firm shake she returned her gaze upon Aecor. This figure was one could barely remember but was able to match his name and appearance however anything more than the basics were still a mystery.
♫ His next words held a question, quite a simple one at that. Bringing up a few times she remembered seeing the stallion the answer wasn't hard. "Yes, I can recall seeing you if my memory hasn't failed me. I don't think I've ever talked to you though," came the words in her neutral tone. As always Megumi showed little expression and little variation in her tone. She wasn't as energetic as she had been in her earlier years yet still hadn't aged all that much. Her nine years had contained quite a bit though. Ears tipped forwards, she then caught a little more dialogue to answer he previous question. It didn't shed light on anything but if he didn't want to talk about something, Gumi could understand. There was much she tried to avoid bringing up about herself. "Same old day huh? I'm pretty much the same," she added. Whenever the usual days took place things seemed to go 'well' overall. Even if such a word didn't really describe her own state very accurately it generally fit, didn't it?
