Flumen
Throughout the whole of Jacinto flows the Flumen, a swift flowing river. It twists and turns across the vast forestland, starting at the base of the waterfall that flows over the Nalicitus and ending where it reaches the ocean near the edge of Scelero in Ignis. The bed of the river is rocky and slick, and large boulders jut out of the water here and there. Most of the river consists of whitewater rapids. In the areas where the river is wider, the water is calmer on the surface, but still moves very quickly, making it dangerous to cross. Unseen currents could sweep even the strongest of horses away. There are small areas that pool away from the river where it is safe to drink. Along the bank there's slick rocks and boulders, as well as both standing and fallen trees. The area around the river is always damp, especially as you draw closer towards Nalicitus. The river is always swift-flowing, though it does decrease somewhat during the summer, making the wider areas more safe for crossing. The flood-threatening winter levels make the river nearly impossible to cross.
