Wandering, wandering all over the world, she was wandering since her human had set her free. She missed her human, the taste of her salty skin, the warmth of her breath and the connection they had when they were riding. Smi had no idea where she was, or what she was doing here, the place seemed pretty empty, there weren't a lot of horses here, Smi wanted a land all to her own, to watch over, a place for the rejects, the horses that no one else wanted. A safe haven for everyone. But first she needed a follower before she could claim a land, someone to back her up. That is what she was out to find. Eyes scan the land for someone, anyone. She couldn't see anyone, but there could be someone hiding from her. A loud whinny is sent into the air as she picks up a small lope | |

I stood among the sands, letting the warm water breathe into me through the air. Sweet and soft, with a tinge of salt. Calming and affectionate. I tipped my dial downwards against the current of air sweeping through the cove, closing my orbs. I sucked in more breath through my nares, the soft pink and grey folds drawing life into me. I let it out in a snort once my sooty bay bodice was full. Yes. Calming and affectionate. I opened my pools, which were a colour akin and a mirror to the waters before me, a shifting blue-green, with hidden depths that lead one to believe in the colour grey. Mysteries. My dark forelock shifted in front of my eyes and I tossed my crown to rid myself of the annoyance. My white mask turned towards a sound.
My audits swiveled, trying to catch the tune, to see if it would call out again. I shifted on my pillars, trying not to sink into the sands. I started to move towards where I believed the sound had originated. It had sounded somewhat feminine, though that might have just been the way it was carried on the breeze. It held no meaning, or it had lost itself on it's way to me. Just a call, nothing more. I snorted softly and began my move, calling out in deep and strong tones, hoping that the wind wouldn't carry the vowels away from their destined target. "Hello? Is there someone there in need of assistance?"
I waited, my banner swishing back and forth as I continued my light walk. Perhaps I had only been hearing things, but it was better to be safe. My pelt twitched. I just hoped that my appearance wasn't intimidating. I looked to the waters at my side and examined myself. Yes, my markings had the tendency to look like scars. But that was not so. I had not had a physical altercation ever in my life. I had no place for scars on my body. But that was going to change with this war. I shook my head. No, hopefully it wouldn't. I would stay neutral as long as possible, but if I must make a choice, then that choice would be made.
I turned my pools forward, audits swiveling and twitching upon my crown, trying to sense that tune again. To confirm that there was another creature here and that it was not just myself.
--------- Word Count: 409 Notes: Sorry it's so drastically short, but this has been long overdue for you. ^.^; Hopefully it will be longer in the future.
